As a policy and regulatory professional in an increasingly uncertain landscape, Natasha Murphy is a firm believer in enacting meaningful change via informed planning, policy, and advocacy. Natasha proudly serves as the Deputy Director of Advocacy for Black Girls Vote, Inc. a nonprofit, grassroots organization focused on engaging, educating, and empowering women of color to leverage their voting power to transform the democratic process.

rashad staton, catalyst of change

A Baltimore native, Rashad D. Staton, is a 26-year-old community organizer and entrepreneur who graduated top of his class as a student athlete from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. From there, Rashad attended Morgan State University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science, while also serving as a United States Congressional Intern and serving concurrently as President of National Pan Hellenic Council and Vice President of the Student Government Association. Since graduation, Rashad has co-founded two businesses, campaigned as one of the city’s youngest Democratic candidate for Baltimore City Council for the 12th District. Most recently, Rashad has been accepted as a Fellow for the Campaign for Black Male Achievement’s BBCLF Fellowship, Johns Hopkins Bunting Neighborhood

Valeria Fuentes is an artist and designer focused on creating programming, art, and design that addresses social justice issues in Baltimore around civic action and immigration. She founded Roots & Raíces in 2017 as a platform for artists and musicians to celebrate and uplift the immigrant communities of Baltimore City through art, music, and civic action.
