Baltimore Votes’ 2020 Year in Review
As we look ahead to 2021, see how far we came in 2020.
January 2020
we celebrated 10 leaders in Baltimore schools with the Baltimore High School Voter Engagement Awards.
February 2020
we hosted two in-person community brainstorming events to begin planning Party at the Polls for the primary election.
March 2020
we went back to the drawing board and hosted two virtual brainstorming events with more than 30 community members to collaboratively design new programming to meet the unique challenges presented by COVID-19.
April & may 2020
we hosted weekly webinars along with partners from No Boundaries Coalition, Out for Justice, Disabilities Rights Maryland, Common Cause, and others to educate and empower Baltimore City voters on the new Vote By Mail process.
May & June 2020
we partnered with Black Girls Vote to pilot Party at the Mailbox, sending voter education materials to over 2,000 Baltimoreans.
June & July 2020
we hosted a college intern who helped plan our General Election programming.
August 2020
we recruited over 700 election judges to fill the citywide shortage.
september 2020
we partnered with Enoch Pratt Free Libraries, the League of Women Voters, and over 100 volunteers to run a 3-week voter registration campaign.
October & November 2020
we collaborated with The BeMore Lab and over 550 volunteers and 16 organizations to run Adopt a Vote Center at early voting and election day vote centers.
December 2020
we are hosting two community listening sessions to design our future programming.
